Meet Tan Wei Xin, an undergraduate of Universiti Malaya, whose passion lies in the conservation of pangolins. With a profound love for wildlife and nature, I have committed time and efforts to equip myself with knowledge and to raise awareness about the critical situation facing pangolins, the world’s only scaled mammals. Through advocacy, education, and hands-on involvement in conservation initiatives, I strive to contribute to the protection of these endangered creatures, combating the threats of illegal trade and habitat loss. Inspired by the many pangolin conservation organizations such as WWF and TRAFFIC, where their unwavering dedication reflects a deep commitment to preserving biodiversity and ensuring a sustainable future for pangolins in the face of numerous challenges, I hope to do the same to ensure a sustainable pangolin livelihood, as well as other animals.
